Cat of the Month
Flo has been in our care for 16 months after giving birth to kittens,
her owner did not want her because, in their words, she keeps
getting herself pregnant. We don't know why, but no-one has shown
any interest in her. She is a young cat, quite lively with a lot of
character. She plays with her toys and can be a bit giddy. She would
be better off with older children who are old enough to be aware
she is a little giddy. We are really hoping someone out there is
willing to give Flo a wonderful home. It's not fair on her to be couped
up for much longer. She has been with her foster mum so long she
thinks this is her home, but of course it's not and she need to be able
to go out and do what cats do. It's upsetting for us all to see her not
be able to do this.
Please, if you are looking for a new pet please consider Flo
.

Neutering

Sheffield Hallam is a branch of Cats Protection, the oldest charity for cats in the UK.  The Branch is run by unpaid volunteers who are committed to the rescue of sick, ill-treated and unwanted cats and to find them safe and loving homes.

No cat is ever put to sleep unless a Vet advises that nothing more can be done. We vaccinate, microchip, spay and neuter all cats over 4 months old before they go to new owners.

We try to help whenever we can, but we are a very small group of volunteers and at present more people are bringing in unwanted and abandoned cats than are offering to give them homes.  Our pens are full and other cats are waiting.  Please look at the cats on this Website that are ready for adoption and let other people know who might be interested in them.  This information is updated every day.

We would also be very grateful if you could support us through a subscription to our regular newsletter "Mews" from Sheffield Hallam Branch (£5 per annum). Contact the Editor on catsprotection@talktalk.net or call 249 3330
